Ingredients

  • For Chole
  • 2 cups cooked chickpeas
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 green chili
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • spices
  • cilantro
  • For Bhature
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp yogurt
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • baking powder
  • salt
  • warm water

Instructions

  • Prepare soft bhature dough and rest for 2 hours.
  • Cook onion, tomato, and spices for chole masala.
  • Add chickpeas and simmer until thick.
  • Roll bhature and fry until puffed and golden.
  • Serve hot with onions and chutney.

Notes

For softer bhature, allow the dough to rest properly. Heat the oil first, then lower the flame to medium while frying to prevent burning.
